The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the whole body vibration exercise on constipation improvement and body composition changes. A total of 21 workers in their 20's and 30's with Constipation Assessment Scale scores more than 4 participate in the study.

The results from this study suggest that WBV exercise have very positive effects on constipation improvement, by decreasing the waist-hip ratio in body composition, reducing the length of time of excretion, and improving the feeling after defecation. Future studies should not only investigate the effectiveness of long term studies through more objective analysis, but also studies about synergistic effects of WBV exercise and Hydrogel patch.
